Objectives The main aim of the OMT-Spain association is to disclosure the educational standards approved for our country by IFOMPT, and those to be used in the education of the physical therapists who want to specialize in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMT). The educational standards incorporate assessment, diagnostic and treatment techniques in Physical Therapy based on the clinical reasoning and in the scientific and clinical evidence. The designed formation scheme meets the professional and scientific needs in manual therapy, similar to the rest of the countries integrating IFOMPT, meeting the formative and professional convergence. Our work is aimed at presenting and promoting the OMT in Spain, throughout events, publications, monographic courses and research and to enhance the knowledge among the physical therapists and the society in general. |
