Presentación de la asociación OMT-España
Tras 12 años de formación de Terapia Manual / Manipulativa Ortopédica en nuestro país, y aprovechando la realización del primer congreso OMT-España, se procedió a la presentación del nacimiento de la Asociación OMT-España, organizadora del evento.
En dicha presentación se expusieron los principales fines de la asociación OMT-España, así como las actividades científicas y formativas realizadas hasta la fecha por dicha asociación y las ventajas accesibles a todos los asociados.

1st OMT-Spain National Congress Awards
Following the presentation of 16 short communication and 13 posters presented during the congress, the Scientific Committee awarded the best papers and the best poster.
Elena Estébanez, Scientific Committee´s chairwoman, remarked the study´s methodology, the communication skills to present the findings and their clinical relevance, as the criteria used by the Scientific Committee for choosing the winners.

Press conference for the presentation of the 1st OMT-Spain Congress
On Friday morning in the auditorium, in addition to the international ECE Meeting, a press conference was held for the presentation of the 1st OMT-Spain First National Congress.
The event was presented by, Freddy Kaltenborn, IFOMPT´s founder, Olaf Evjenth, Annalie Basson, IFOMPT´s Chairwoman, José Miguel Tricás, OMT-Spain association´s chairman and OMT-Spain First National Congress´ Organizing Committee´s chairman and Elena Estébanez, OMT-Spain associations´s secretary and Scientific Committee´s chairwoman.

Honorary acknowledgement of the OMT-Spain Association
On Sunday 28th OMT-Spain Association named Olaf Evjenth and Freddy Kaltenborn, honorary members of the Spanish Orthopaedic Manual / Manipulative Therapy Association for his contribution over 50 years to the promotion of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT) and the creation of IFOMPT with the aim of giving the physical therapy professionals the training excellence.

Presentation of the OMT-Spain books
On the occasion of the First National Congress of OMT Spain, the association presented the publication of books that has been done for many years.
In the past the teaching material used were those known as "Physical Therapy Handouts", consisting of Advances in Physiotherapy volumes I-II-III and Functional Massage and Functional Immobilization.
En el pasado, el material didáctico que se utilizaba se basaba en lo que se llamaban "Cuadernos de Fisioterapia", que consistían en Avances en Fisioterapia volúmenes I-II-III y Masaje Funcional e Inmovilización funcional.
Already in the years 2001 and 2004, the first and second edition respectively, of the Orthopaedic Manual Therapy books volumes I and II from Freddy Kaltenborn were translated into Spanish.
